ILR Dependent Visa

Post by rafi_aamiri78692 » Tue Nov 28, 2023 12:08 pm

Hi,

I will be filing my ILR in May 2024 and will be receiving in June 2024. Since my dependents joined with me late they will be filing during November 2024 as 5 months after my ILR.

During this time say if I join different employer during July 2024 what will happen to my dependents as their visa was sponsored by current employer. Please advise

Nothing happens to their visas.

They are not dependent on your sponsor!! Their visas are dependent on you!!

Thank you.

They are not dependent on your sponsor!! - This statement I am clear as if I leave current employer

Their visas are dependent on you!! - Please clarify I am not clear because if I leave to join new employer how can their visa dependent on me as I will be in ILR status and they will be in my ex-employer sponsored visa

They are your dependants and not that of your employer. During the period, they remain your dependant even as you become ILR holder even though they did not switch.
Where required, details of your previous sponsor will be inputted only to show or indicate trend of their legal immigration history.

They are free to travel as long ss they have valid visas. Unsure why you belive this would be an issue.

They cannot travel though if they have an application pending with ukvi.
