We paid fee in July but submitted in January this year, I know it’s early and there’s a backlog from previous years, but haven’t received the quarterly email either… what could be the cause?

Hi! What’s the quarterly email? I have never received one since I started the process back in 2021.

Quarterly email is sent to applicants who haven’t received decisions. If you already got approved, you won’t receive them.

i wont be surprised if 2023 applicants who had already made the payment got missed out . DOJ unusual method means, some 2023 applicants end up paying ahead of everyone but will be made to wait until they cross 19 month window. they shld not have picked up 2023 applications in the 1st place. prepare to wait is what i would say

Thanks for the clarification. It would be good to receive the message anyway, to level set expectations. Hopefully it will get better for new applicants with the online system, they probably can track the status and processing times.

Wouldn't expect it to be that advanced, unfortunately, but at least they know their data is received.
Maybe they could work with DFA to implement something similar to what they have for passport.

I am an applicant from early 2022 and have not received my decision yet but keep receiving the quarterly emails. So what you said makes sense.

I also wonder if there is anyone else in similar situation as me? E.g., early 2022 applicant, disclosed eVetting and not received approval yet? Should I be worried?

I am in the same situation. I applied in March 2022, disclosure viewed, but no decision still.

Hello

I’m just wondering how long did it take for you guys to receive the ceremony invitation after they sent an email informing that the citizenship fee €950 was processed?

Thanks

They're sent in batches, not individually. Last batch was yesterday I think.

Do you mean to say there won't be any more invitations sent for Dec 18th, 19th ceremonies?

There will be; what I mean is that the invitation time is more or less fixed.
They'll be sending invitations until mid December probably.

My own observation, which might be wrong, is that they sent the first batch of invitations yesterday and it was to applicants who received approval in October. There were several applicants who received approval on the 20th of November. I think those will be included hopefully in the 2nd batch of invitations for Dec ceremonies. I’ve also noticed that invitations come in batches (not individually) and same goes for approval letters as well

I’ve received the letter of approval and the invitation for the payment fee on 23rd November and the confirmation of the payment fee being processed on 28th.
Am i wrong to assume that my chances of being invited in December for the ceremony are small even if they mentioned in the letter that “to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming ceremony complete the payment in 10days” ?
Thank you

Not necessarily. They just take their time with approvals.

No this is not the case as I received my approval in October and made payment in October and have not received the invitation to the ceremony.

Thanks! Took like 2 years from start to finish, hopefully others' experience will be less than that.

And you’ve taken likely thousands of days off other people’s wait time with your advice and help to avoid mistakes.
