ILR application

Post by Vodo1988 » Sat Dec 02, 2023 4:42 pm

Hi all,

Can someone submit his ILR application while abroad? Or submit it and travel outside until his Biometrics appointment?

If you submit an application and leave the country, application will be withdrawn.

If you apply from abroad, it won't be ILR, it'll be ILE, which i think is given to kids of settled/British parents sometimes; don't think there's any other common category of people that gets those.

Do you want to elaborate on the situation? You gave us no information.

Sorry for the late reply.
My friend who works in a shift pattern job, 28 days outside UK, was asking if he can apply for his ILR when outside and get a biometric appointment when he comes back. I told him like you said, it'll invalidate his application... I believe it's too risky anyway. I'll tell him to wait and never do that. I got mine last year anyway.

Thanks for your continued support

He cannot apply at all, it is not about the risk. ILR applications can only be applied within the UK.
