Discreationary leave

Hi everyone,
I applied in 03/2004 for asylum (unaccompanied minor) my case was declined and i was given a discetionary leave for one year until i become 18. I applied for an extension before my 18th birthday but since then i havent heard anything from the homeoffice.next year March it will be 5 yaers in the UK. my question is do i qualify to stay by law and i am doing Social work degree. Please help.

Thanks for helping me to start my day off with a good old chuckle!

If you look at Vinny's post you'll see that s/he's given you a link to discretionary leave. (Sorry Vinny not sure if you're a Vincent or Vincentia).

The Home Office is granting ILR to some asylum seekers and refugees depending on the country of origin and the date of application.

Which country are you from?

i think your case is a legacy case and you might be granted ILR under the legacy programme
