received approval letter yesterday which says i need to pay the fee to be considered for the 18th & 19th ceremonies. My problem is that i am leaving for Christmas holiday and wasnt really expecting to receive the approval letter as my disclosure viewed date was only 8 days ago. Does anybody know when is the next one likely to take place ? I really dont want to return to Ireland for the ceremony due to super expensive ticket.s

If any of the previous years may be used as reference, then the next ceremony would be in March.

Does someone know if they give you a certificate right at the ceremony, if not, how long does it take to receive it? Thanks in advance

They don't.
From two to sixteen weeks (or more), judging by existing data; will probably be longer for people on the 19th as previous ceremonies only took one day (and even then some people only got theirs in 4 months).

Hi Guys,
Just a quick one please.

I received a letter on November 20, 2023 and to be included in the next ceremony(18th Dec/19th Dec) fee of euro 950 should be paid with in 10 days of letter issued.
Fees was paid on 27th November and payment was processed on 29th November.

Since then, I have received no invitation letter/email for ceremony?

Kindly please confirm if someone is in the same situation.

Thanks a mil.

Going to ceremony next week at Dublin Convention Centre. Can anyone suggest the best place to park and a backup if that's full please?

Cheers.

It's city centre, so there are a few parkings in the vicinity. Connolly station parking is pretty close, or Irish Life one if you don't mind a little walk.
Another option is to leave car on Park&Ride and just take the luas/tram in? CCD is 5 minutes away from Docklands.

Hi everyone!

I got a reply from citizenship team that I was invited to ceremony 6, but I haven't recieved any invitation in my email. I am confused... What did they mean by ceremony 6 and how could I miss the invitation?
Does anybody know when ceremony 6 is?
Maybe some people didn't get their invitations like I did.

I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere before, but the invitation says nothing about how long the ceremony will take. You need to arrive 1 hour before the ceremony but no information on how long it will take to complete. It would be great to know when it will end so people can plan their commutes back home, etc.

From previous attendance by others here, I recall it was approximately 45 minutes. Can someone please confirm?

It is around that time, I'd give it about an hour, so ~2 hours in total if you arrive at the beginning of registration.

No, I haven't recieved any invitations from Department of Justice, I got that email 'Please note you have been invited to ceremony 6. Please confirm you received your invite by email.' from Citizenship Helpdesk. I would like to know when will be or was that ceremony 6? I got my approval a half year ago, since then I haven't gotten anything from them.

Did you respond that you didn't receive it?

You won't be on the list for the ceremony attendees unless you confirm attendance. It might be a bit too late now if you haven't responded to them.

I replied that I didn't get anything.. Yes, it's probably too late, but at least it would be nice to know what ceremony 6 is, maybe it was even in the autumn=(

Hi,
If you have an outlook/hotmail email account. It is worth checking your “other” inbox . This happened to me, all other emails had come through ok in the “Focused” inbox. However the invite to the ceremony was filtered through my “other” inbox. You can also try searching your inbox by typing “citizenship ceremony”on the search panel. Hope this helps!

Both my partner and I are invited to the ceremony but our 5 month old baby just had an operation and we strongly advised to limit exposure. We have no one to leave the baby with.
Question: does anyone know how the ceremony is conducted? Do they call people in by name? Is there any chance we can stay outside and get in only when required to sign the declaration? Maybe someone knows whom to talk to on the day to help us get through w/o waiting for hours there with the baby?

Thank you in advance.
