Traveling after naturalisation ceremony and using IRP to enter the country

Post by lefsler » Sun Dec 31, 2023 5:16 am

Hi everyone,

Has anyone traveled right after the naturalisation ceremony?

I have read mixed things about it, some state that it can be a problem and the IRP will be cancelled, others say that its fine.

Has anyone here experienced that (entering the country with the IRP as the citizenship certificate or passport has not yet been issued)?

Note: I don't need a entry visa.

Thanks,

Regards.

You can use your IRP card until you get your Naturalisation cert and Passport . this is on the assumption that you dont delay applying for Irish passport at the earliest after receiving the cert
