There is no stated time for last meeting.LornaSuzie wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 2:40 pmHi Everyone
Will be grateful if you can advise when should we have last met if my partner applies as fiance?
Within the last 6 months of submitting application ok?
Nope, no mandated time. It would be nice for him to still be legally resident when applying though.LornaSuzie wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 1:02 pmHi Guys be grateful if you can pls advise
My fiance is a pakistani national with a work permit for Saudi
Does he need to have a certain period of time left on the saudi work permit when he applies for his uk fiance visa? He will apply from saudi

Do I I need 6 months minimum payslips/ statements to apply for fiance visa?
Can it be done on less? No, it is an important requirement on that route.
Ive been employed since Jan 2022 however became full time 1st Dec Is it from December that you income meets current requirement?
Worried about new income threshold kicking in spring as my current salary is adequate but 6 months means applying in May 2024 and not sure what income would be required? Situation still unfolding and seems it will be kicking in Sept. 2024 and for Skilled Worker Visa take note.
Would be most grateful
Thankyou
Spring 2024, still unfolding Situation.AmazonianX wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 5:44 amLornaSuzie wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 11:54 pmHi All

Im so grateful you replied
Yes Dec 1st Im earning £22,468 salaried so from this month Before now were you getting up to £1,550/month?
Im a British National, so what will effect me? Being British does not confer any advantage in any way or form.
Do you think we've got the chance to apply in may/june still under current threshold rules? When an actual date of implementation is known that's what will determine what financial requirement will apply vis-a-vis your date of application.
What if the new threshold kicks in whilst my fiance has applied? Will he be safe? Yes And will his spouse visa application then fall under current threshold £18k or new threshold apply? Current threshold of 18,600 will apply as it is the date of application that counts.
Please help so worried
God bless
If using the self employment income, you need to provide HO a tax return submitted to HMRC. You will require SA302, Tax overview and a letter from a chartered accountant stating the nature of your self employment and confirm your income. On the same tax return your employment income is also disclosed.LornaSuzie wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 3:42 pmHi Lovely
You're so kind thankyou so much
No I wasnt getting £1550 a month prior, £829 per month from Jan 2023
Im going to have to start my eyelash & beauty self employment additional £17000 coming from self employment
Will 6 months of that combined with my salary be enough to prove?
I will have hmrc proof of regustration
And accountants certificate
Statements showing money paid in
Anything else self employment wise please tell me?
6 months be OK or do they need a 12 months document from hmrc?
God bless you hunny
In the UK tax return runs from 6th April to 5th April, so the current tax year that is yet to end is between 06/04/2023 to 05/04/2024. If you were to start your self employment in May 2024 then the tax return your accounts will fall under is tax year ending 05/04/2025.LornaSuzie wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 7:42 pmThankyou so much for guiding Asingh
I would like to start my self employment in May 2024 or earliest April 2024 as we are not applying for the fiance visa until November 2024
So for April/May 2024 starters when will the next tax return be due please?
So a tax return doesnt need to be 12 months long?
Also the SA302 does it need to be for a specific length of time?
Appendix 1.7 details clearly what is required. You need a financial year to rely on self employment. See page 55 onwards.LornaSuzie wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 8:32 pmHi yes thats fine
So final point is will HO accept 6 months worth of self employment on a tax return?
That will only have 6 months worth of returns on ie £22,468 Paye remaining £17,000 due according to new threshold via self employment to be proven
Meaning does tax return have to show full £17,000 for 1 year or is it sufficient that it reflects £8500 as self employment only commenced 6 months prior to tax return?
