This is a question out of curiosity after reading the comments people added to the post-ceremony naturalisation certificate timeline thread.
It is beyond stupid and non-sensical the decision made by the Department of Justice to stop handing new citizens their naturalisation certificate at the ceremony, and to leave them in a "limbo", but couldn't the new citizens fill out the Questionnaire for the purpose of issuing a statement to the effect that a
person has been granted Irish citizenship form (https://www.irishimmigration.ie/wp-cont ... t-Cert.pdf) and at least have a document issued by the Irish government confirming his/hers new status as an Irish citizen?
Does anyone know if this would be allowed?
