Indian passport renewal in UK on a visitor visa

Hello

My mother will arrive in UK on a visitor visa ( valid for 2 years) and her Indian passport would expire in 8 months. Can she still renew her Indian passport in UK? May I know the procedure please ?

No, she cannot renew in UK on visit visa.

Generally, you need to be a resident in the country to renew the passport there. This is applicable not just to India, but all countries.

Exceptions are where you have over stayed, lost, stolen passport etc. Even in those cases, you only get a one way single page travel document for a single flight to India.
