I made a complaint as i felt the refusal reasons were generic and the case officer had not looked through the documents properly.
I received a response that the complaint had been upheld and the application will be reconsidered. They also mentioned they will try do so as soon as possible but can't give a timeframe.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and how long did it take to respond? It's been 3 weeks now and I'm thinking that i need to have a cut off point and then think about reapplying instead. I sent an enquiry to ukvi but their response was not helpful, as expected.

Who applied for the visitor visa? Your father??
What exactly were the reasons for refusal?
Char (CR001 not Casa)
In life you cannot press the Backspace button!!
Please DO NOT send me a PM for immigration advice. I reserve the right to ignore the PM and not respond.

Yes my father.
They said that he didn't show evidence for his additional income but he did. They overlooked the documents

If it is accepted for reconsideration as you stated above, chances of overturnung refusal and granting are there.
May not take too long, Use the search function of the forum.

Update:
I put in a further complaint as i had been waiting a few weeks with no further response. I received a response to my second complaint:
We are continuing to investigate the matters you raise, and therefore we are unable to provide you with a substantive reply. We will contact you as soon as we are able to do so.
Please accept my apologies for this.
Will anything force their hand to hurry up? I.e. threaten them with PAP, MP complaint etc?

The response indicate action is being taken already, further steps from you may change nothing.
