It’s a shambles of. System I am still here waiting since the 2nd of October I just got an email this morning telling me there was delays in certificates and mine will be sent out today so here’s hoping
you should go through TD mate.

I have been everywhere and not getting anywhere so this is the final straw I will give them a chance and see if it in fact has been posted today and if I haven’t received it by next week then I will be going to a solicitor and I’ll pay what ever money I need to go against them as this is not right them making me and I’m sure there is others wait this length of time and to know the December ceremony’s ones have got theirs is very frustrating and here we are still waiting!!

You reach out to them via email, usually; preferably someone from your area (check on https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/members/tds/ ) but if none of them respond, search om a wider scale.

You can also try to go to them during hours when they're in office, but not sure if it's a good idea in this case.

You're almost citizens now, get ready to navigate Irish politics before elections!

And please, know the reasonable limits. If you're from December ceremony, just wait, otherwise it may just lead to TD email being not given any attention to, like it is in the UK now.

Having a lawyer to send an email to them might be effective, when I was trying to contact them it was more effective via a lawyer

Online is preferred and easier.
Nothing stops you from applying via paper, but it doesn't make sense.

Also keep in mind you need to send in your certificate when you apply for a passport.

Online is faster but paper take about 2 months

Does Anpost try to redeliver if you miss the delivery or does it just go back into limbo ?

For tracked items, you get a "we missed you" card and you have to pick it up from your local distribution center in either 3 or 5 days (can't remember), otherwise they send it back.

You can request a redelivery, but you have to explicitly ask for it via https://www.anpost.com/Post-Parcels/Man ... Redelivery

I am away and have been since thursday this week and I am worried I missed the delivery. I have no tracking number and Citizenship department are not responding to mails.

If you did miss it, you should've gotten a notice saying they missed you; check with your local postman/post office if you wish to be sure.

I am not here at the moment thats the problem so I cant check and see. I am going to ask a neighbour but a tracking number would be wonderful. Or atleast a confirmation its gone out or not so I am not panicking on a fools errand ?

There was a post from someone about nit getting their cert from October ceremony - they had to fight for a tracking number.
If you have someone checking your mailbox, that's the best approach - they'll either see a big envelope (if postie will disregard the need for signature) or a notice.

Is that "common" to be asked for?

You have to upload a photo to be on your certificate when you process payment, so yes?
