I have been living in the UK for the past ~15 years, and acquired the British citizenship by naturalisation in 2021. On this year, but before acquiring the citizenship, my child was born in my home country, and, after her birth, she travelled directly to the UK and has been living permanently here since. My spouse (=her mother) is also a long-term UK resident with only settled status who now decided to apply for citizenship.
My question is if there is any benefit in submitting a joint application, as opposed to my spouse applying for herself and myself applying for my daughter;
-will the outcome of one affect the outcome of the other? (suppose my wife's is unsuccessful - would this affect my child's?)
-is there any reduction in the application costs for a joint one (parent+child)?
