Type B Rsidence proof

Post by kshitij1993 » Mon Jan 15, 2024 10:18 pm

Hi,

Few question/queries about Type B residence proofs, if someone has more information please that will be very helpful
1- Credit Card statement - Do I need all 12 month credit card statement for the year or 3 or 6 consecutive month will do.
2- Rent Agreement - It doesn't mention if RTB letter will be accepted. Does anyone know if it is allowed to be used.
3- Utility Bills - Are broadband bills acceptable and is the same applies that 3 consecutive month will work.

Thanks

3 month credit card bill should be fine.
RTB letters are accepted
Broadband bills if inclusive of a landline are definitely fine. If there is no landline included and it’s the best someone has, submit with an affidavit as to why no listed proof was available. Actual utility bills (electricity, gas, landline, bins) are preferable to a broadband without landline though.

Thank you so much.

So one RTB letter per year is enough for Type B document?

Many thanks

They only issue them annually, so most people only have one a year. And yes, they are worth 50 B points - so one per year satisfies Type B

Where does it state that 3 months proof are required? Site says Utility bills. can be of 1 or 2 months based on cycle.

Written responses from helpline and repeated requests for more documents from current submissions. Some applications get approved with one month utility per year , others have to submit more- depends on case officer and quality of other proofs (a poor quality A proof like bank statements with low number of POS means only one month per year for B is typically rejected - because overall, application is deemed poor quality) . Three months per year is almost always accepted and helps strengthen total application; one month it varies - so three months is the typical recommendation. A request for more documents will typically add 6 months to an already long processing time, but you are free to choose. Some people choose to submit 12 months to avoid any risk, but experience suggests 3 is sufficient.
