2. On reaching the UK - what needs to be done?

It is advisable to bring along all the stuff you provided in support of your Tier -1 Application.Aakash31 wrote:Hi,

- buy a map of the place you intend to stay;
- buy a UK PAYG SIM card for your mobile phone;
- buy a mobile broadband for your laptop/computer;
- open UK bank account if you haven't done this already;
- research jobs (you now have broadband ) and send out CVs to agencies;
- find a more permanent accomodation or wait until job offer. It is likely, in this climate, that you will have to move outside of London for jobs;
- don't watch TV, as it is both depressing and you have other important things to do right now. You need to focus on getting that new job!
