HOW TO CALCULATE PREVIOUS EARNINGS

Post by mohammed241615 » Mon Dec 22, 2008 3:14 am

Hi ,

I am working in an indian IT company WIPRO, I am going to apply for HSMP in jan 2009. I am considering the previous earnings from JAN 2008 - DEC 2008.

1) From JAN 2008 to MARCH 2008 , I worked in India . During this period I got only Indian salary.

2) Since April 2008 to December 2008 , I am working in Canada through WIPRO (onsite) .During this period I got Indian Salary in India and Canadian allowance.Should I consider the indian salary for this duration or not

HOW SHOULD I CALCULATE MY PREVIOUS EARNINGS?

Please explain the process of applying the uplift ratio in my case.

Please help me as soon as possible

Regards,
Mohammed

I don't think so any allowance can be included as a part of your previous earnings. They are like per dium paid to you and hence not included.

You will need to take into account your salary paid in India from Jan 08 to Dec 08 as stated on your payslip.

I think no where is it mentioned on the guidance notes that such an allowance is considered. I would suggest go through it again and then take your next steps.

I too was stuck in a similar situation, but was not confident to apply, so eventually had to wait until my previous earnings were in line with what was required and then applied.
