Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

It is does not have my name rather addressed as dear applicant. It must be generic email then.
I will hoever email them to ask for my naturalization certificate in a few days. In December ceremony they said you all are Irish citizens now then what is the point to be vetted again if i am an Irish citizen

I am waiting for naturalization certificate however today i got an email from citizenshipinfor@justice.ie and they want an upto date garda vetting. Why they need at this stage since my application is already been processed.
Can anybody help please?

I attended the ceremony @11 am on 18th of December and still waiting for the certificate.

Is there any way to contact department about that? Any email or postal address to send query on?

You can try the classic citizenshipinfo@justice.ie , but will you get any meaningful response is a good question

This must be system error, I think you just got the email that says dear applicant, your application is accepted for processing and and up to date Garda report is now required.

You may contact them to make sure, but highly likely it’s an error.

Did they sent you by calling your name in the email and told you they need to update the vetting before issuing the cert
Or the email say dear applicant?
Dear applicant email was sent to many for the second and for the third time this week

Then it’s ok no need to worry, Dear applicant is when the system send to a bunch of applicants emails at once, it’s system error to include who was vetted before and also includes who have paid the cert and waiting for ceremony and by same errors included you, in the email body you have a statement says to ignore it if you have done before.

Just ask them by email tomorrow for your cert and ignore this email

And relax you are Irish citizen

i wish i am wrong. i saw a FB post where people from 18th Dec 3 pm ceremony mentioned they got the cert.

Two of us were in the 1pm ceremony on the 18th and one certificate arrived on 7 Feb. The print date on it was 21 Jan.

Sent an email 2 days ago got an auto reply that your ticked will be dealt shortly.

There was a note in auto email that "Please be advised, if you were in attendance to the Ceremony on the 18th and 19th of December 2023, your certificate of Naturalization will issue to you in due course. "

I am so tired of hearing “in due course” as an excuse to not provide a timeline for anything.

Looks like the department is not following any particular sequence, waiting to get a certificate is equivalent to hitting a lottery now.
