ILR Skiller Worker dependant Visa

Post by Swarty » Sun Feb 25, 2024 4:24 pm

Good Day,

I recently got my ILR on a 5 year skilled worker visa.

I now need to extent my wife and chile PBS visa as they are out by 9 months before they can get ILR.

1. Which Visa do we need to apply for FLR M or FLR FP?

2. Do they need to do an english test as shes been working in the UK as a Dental Hygienist?

Many Thanks

They apply on skilled worker dependent form extending their existing visa category. It will be a 3 year extension.

Flr m or flr p will reset their 5 year ilr clock to zero.

Skilled Worker Dependent Visa Fee Issue

Post by Swarty » Sun Mar 03, 2024 10:41 am

Good Day,

I hope you are well.

Application: Skilled Worked Dependent Extension after Main Applicant got ILR

We are in a bit of a situation with our Visa Application.

I entered the below dates for the 3 year visa extension on the IHS page:

Applicant
Application Date: 02/03/2024
Work Start Date: 02/03/2024
Work End Date: 02/03/2027 (3 years)

Person you will be joining:

Visa Type: 5 year Skilled (As that is what I had before ILR)
Visa expiration date: 02/03/2027 (3 years from application)

The IHS amount after this is correct at £3105 which I have paid. The issue now is that the system wants me to pay the more than 3 years fee at £1500 for the application and not the 3 years fee at £827?

I haven't started my daughters application as I m not sure how to proceed.

The IHS refund process takes way to long and I wont be able to make our current visa cut off time on 14/04/2024.
I obviously cant go back now and will need to figure a way out.
Where did I go wrong?
Anyone been in this position before and have some guidance?

Any assistance is much appreciated.
Many Thanks
