Thanks for the reply, It just came across as unusual to me, I understand the ILR application and naturalisation are under whole different processes, and my address history was the same as in the ILR application although no further information was requested at that time.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:23 amOne could only speculate. Caseworkers can and sometimes do ask for further information and/or documents, even if it was provided with the original application. Whether there's an issue is anybody's guess. Or they are just "dotting the i's and crossing the t's"?
Thanks for the reply, I hope those 4 months spent in my home country won't raise any problems from their side.contorted_svy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:41 amSometimes the caseworker requests additional information if they are not sure or if by mistake there was a time gap in your address history. You provided it now so they will keep processing the application.
Appreciate the advise!contorted_svy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:56 amIf you are below the overall absences limit in your qualifying period including those 4 months it shouldn't.
oh god, that was so long, did HO inform you the application would take longer than 6 months at least? My ILR took very long without any communication. I'm a bit worried it will be a long wait againneohk wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 2:40 amI had the same email, 12 months after I applied no less
It wasn't entirely clear but I suspect that they didn't do anything with the extra info they requested until I have once again chased them for answers
Got the results of my application about 6 months after that email
No, they just keep saying they are still doing checksDancull wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 8:57 amoh god, that was so long, did HO inform you the application would take longer than 6 months at least? No impact shall be on your naturalisation.Dancull wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 1:31 pmHi All,
I have another question if you don't mind.
7 years ago I was refused to enter the UK at Heathrow airport border because I couldn't use my undergraduate visa (It was still valid at the time) to enter for master course in different university and extend it inside the UK (I thought I could ), although I didn't receive any ban or penalty, They just told me go back my orginal country and get a new visa for the master course, which I did and came back completed the course. Will this casue the problem for my naturlisation application? (I have obtained my ILR through a Tier 1 visa, the Tier 1 visa was obtained after this master's Tier 4) I disclosed this incident in my ILR and all other immigration applications.
Any suggestions are apperciated!
That's a relief to hear, thank you!AmazonianX wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:32 pmNo impact shall be on your naturalisation.Dancull wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 1:31 pmHi All,

Dancull wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:04 amMorning all,
It has been more than two weeks since I responded to HO's request, I'm wondering how long it takes usually for HO to reply. Was that further information email at least indicating my case is with a caseworker? Most probably, no one can give an estimate of this as each application is unique and attended to as such.
Thank you for your reply, I have also received my detailed SAR, but nothing regarding it. I'm probably just overthinking.contorted_svy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 4:32 pmI don't think it is necessary, as long as you were lawfully employed. maybe you exceeded your hours limit once in your whole student visa. I doubt this would make any difference.

Try reduce being worried as waiting is all we can do.
