Curtailment Letter Timing 2023/24

Post by chatgpt » Tue Mar 19, 2024 3:50 pm

How long does the Home Office typically take to send the curtailment letter following the termination of a skilled worker visa by the employer? Any latest experience or statistics to share from 2023-2024?

Can the new visa be filed until the last day of the 60-day period to stay legally in the UK?

Currently it is taking several months for visa cancellations to be processed. There are thousands of cases awaiting processing and more are being added weekly.
As for applying for a new visa while under 60 days cancellation notice - you can apply for another visa up until the final date stated on the notice.

Thank you so much for your reply. Can I safely assume "several months" would mean 5–6 months? I know none of this is guaranteed, but what would be your rough estimate?

Unless there is a serious change in the process it is reasonably safe to assume that you are unlikely to have your visa cancelled in the next 3-4 months.
I am aware of numerous individuals that are currently into month 7-8 without cancellation.
