Documents to send for passport application

Hi,

I have applied for a British passport for my son (recently registered as a British citizen) and am asked to send the original registration certificate and any current or expired passports from other countries that haven’t been cancelled.

How safe is it to send these original important documents via post?!!!

There are obviously different postal options available. Most use first class or next day signed for.

You have to send originals, I would recommend a tracked and signed for service. I used next day delivery.
