Salary requirement for existing skilled workers

Post by Loveteddybear » Mon Apr 08, 2024 1:47 pm

Hi all, I’m quite confused of the salary requirement after 4th April, will be appreciated if anyone can help.

I am currently hold the skilled worker visa which granted in 2021 for 5 years under SOC 3545 (Sales accounts and business development managers), my salary is £35400. Does my salary need to be increased based on the latest guidance?

If there is no extension till the settlement, then you need to see lower limit for your code.

This has been discussed here before, I think there's a pinned post with the topic. It's also everywhere over the internet.

Citing the Home Office factsheet:
  • These new policies will not be applied retrospectively and until the Immigration Rules are amended the salary threshold will remain the same.
  • Those already in the route before the Rules changes are exempt from the new Skilled Worker salary requirements when they change employer, extend, or settle.

Thank you for the reply.
I don’t need to extend my visa as it has been granted for 5 years. Do you mean that I need to increase my salary to the lower going rate when I apply ILR?

Thank you for your reply.
So my salary only need to reach the lower going rate when I apply ILR, right?
