What's better - postal application or in person at Croydon?

Post by bototo » Thu Jan 01, 2009 10:08 pm

For a dependant relative application is there a better chance of success going down the postal route or using the same day, in-person service? Or does it not make a difference?

If it is a straightforward application satisfying the relevant pre-requisites, then in-person application at PEO is always the preferred option.

BTW, what is the status of the individual based upon whom the dependent's application is to be made?

"Straightforward" is subjective, isn't it? :)
status of the individual....
You mean the sponsor? The sponsor is me and I'm on ILR. The applicant is my 70 years old mother.

It should not make a difference, just check that they deal with this category of application through the same day service.

Thanks Paperpusher and vinny, that does clear it up. So, OK, the in-person route is not available for elderly dependant applications. :(
