Unfortunately you are not alone ....
See this thread: british-citizenship/have-been-waiting-f ... 44580.html
There are other threads. In itself the delays are not a sign of complication - suspect they are just behind with processing - nobody ever receives detailed reasons for the delays, apart from meaningless standard emails.
If you want to start chasing start here: british-citizenship/6-months-plus-waiti ... 43483.html
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Nov applicant here too, we are probably just a very unlucky one. I got my SAR back early this month, from the look of it my case wasn't even looked at until March. I just can't believe they did it to me again after a server delay on my ILR application (7+ months, no communication, nothing on SAR regarding the delay).

Applied at the beginning of October !
Still waiting .. I did get a response from FNE though they said that my application had an IT issue (14th march 2024) , then out of the blue email from nationality biometrics on 11th April that the problem with biometrics has been solved and now I have to wait another 6 months

I requested SAR (received two days ago) , very little about case notes (redacted) however there’s an email to case working team forwarding my FNE enquiry asking why up u til that date (7th February ) my case wasn’t allocated to a caseworker … nothing else apart from constant regular police checks (I think they do it at regular intervals or automatic for the full duration of your application )

Now waiting another 6 months :(

Submitted bio on 11th Oct and still waiting.

Received an email in March suggesting they can’t process my application within the six-month service promise.

You are not alone bro.

Did they show what checks they were conducting on your SAR for naturlisation application?

I got mine SAR two weeks ago, but nothing useful at all.

Yes there were lines for “police check requested “ and “police check returned” and “result - no match”

But there were a few of those at regular intervals with different dates etc

I think our applications are with one particular case worker who taking so so long to look into each application. Oct 23 and Nov 23 are mainly delayed.

Same here, FNE email did not yield anything meaningful... hopefully, we 'll get approvals soon as it might mess with their targets of 6 month (if they have any!)

I just got the email from MMST with their copy-and-paste lazy effort email saying checks are still opened and not gonna make it in 6 months bla bla bla. I applied on 18th Nov, bio 24th.

The weird thing is I just replied to ct8, Nationality Technical Specialist Team to confirm some details 20 days ago.

Ultimately one needs to be patient as much as possible, 95% of applications get accepted. it is annoying to have to wait this long (and sometimes a lot more than the standard processing times) but there actions one can take to follow up if the application is delayed.

There is no copy - paste activity taking place. These are all automated workflows emails generated when the clock hits a specific time and a milestone has not been reached at that specific time.

So the email you receive on the 5 months +- 1 or 2 days is driven by the status of the application not closed in the system , which fires out the email irrespective of you sending them an email or not. These are done to protect themselves from any legal angle in the future, so they can state it, you have been informed that there has been a delay, does not necessarily mean it will be delayed beyond 6 months.

Similarly, The Monday approval email is a scheduled activity that triggers based on the status getting changed or hitting Approved or whatever the logic is in their system rom a technology standpoint processes that are scheduled to trigger events on specific times to optimise the performance of the application they use ( case management system).

Only time a human intervention takes place is when you send an email. as that would force them to respond back as it would notify them to give a response but they won't send you anything beyond the legally approved wordings which is why you get generic emails.

I have submitted my application 01/08/2023 and I’m still waiting, I have requested SAR I did complain and I have asked my PM to chase my SAR. Last time I received an email from my caseworker was back in January when he reassured me his processing my application and he will be in contact once the consideration has been fully completed. I overstayed my visa a couple month on 2013 and I waited 10 years to apply again I mentioned that on my application I don’t have any CCJ on my record but still in the same boat waiting.

For the detailed SAR request is there any specific text we need to put in the comments box?

I don't think so. Just explain what you would like to know. Consider that often information about the naturalisation application gets redacted but you may see something from there (or the team may raise a query as to why the application is being held up).

It is still below standard processing time. Approvals can be tracked on the timeline thread.
