In july some of my uni mates are going across to Dublin for a couple of days. I am in the UK on a student visa, is this visa enough to get me to Dublin....? Sorry, i am a Lebanese national................If not what should i do?

.

No you cannot go to Dublin on a UK visa.

You need to get a Visa for Visitor status to the Republic of Ireland
Where there is a will there is a way.

You will need a Schengen Visa for travel around parts of Europe. Ireland has it's own visa:

I have no experience of Irish Visas, but I would guess it shouldn't take longer than 4 weeks. Have a good break 8)

Ramy, it looks like you will have to apply in person. The office is located here:

PASSPORT OFFICE
Address:
Passport & Visa Office
Montpelier House
106 Brompton Road
London SW3 1JJ
Telephone:
020 7225 7700

It will cost €60.00 by the looks of it.

Give them a ring and get an appointment (if needed) and then you can ask about processing times.

last time when i applied for the irish visa (6 years back) , it took me a week after the appointment.

there are certain countires on this list, and they need to apply x number of weeks before.

mostly arab & central asian countires. dont remember if lebanon is on that list
