About previous company payslips

Post by gopikrishnatb » Tue Dec 23, 2008 9:23 am

Hi,

In March 2008 (10 months back) I have joined a company. Before that I have worked for another company for one year. So, at present I have 10 pay slips in the current organization. And for the Feb 2008, I don't have salary slip but had Final settlement. Now I have the following doubts:

(a) Can I apply now with 10 payslips of current company + Final settlement and 2 payslips of previous company? Is this safe to apply?

(b) If I wait for 2 more months to get 12 payslips in current company, then can I skip the details (offer letters, relieving letters) of previous company to make the verification fast?

Please reply back. Thanking you all.

Gopi,

You can apply using the final settlement also. Because it is the same case with me. But on the safer side I am about to get that also attested.

You can exclude that from your earnings provided the points you are claiming are based on the earnings are obtained using the 10 month period.

Thanks

If you meet the earnings criteria by using just 10 month salary you can apply with 10 Salary slips only.

Hi Raghava,

you said that final settlement is enough. But in guidance notes there is sentence "Single consecutive 12-month period". It sounds like there should not be any gap. What your suggestion regd this?

And nowhere it is found that less than 12 months payslips enough for earnings.

Anyone please reply. Thank you.

Guidance says:

86.An applicant does not have to be in continuous or full-time employment during the 12 months being assessed.
You can use the current employer's 10 payslips for 10 months
Additionally you can use the payslips and final settlement bill for the 2 months of the previous employer to complete one year of claim

I will give you my case to make it more clear

Jan 2008- May 16 2008 --> First Company
May 26 2008 - Till now ---> Second company

I am using my earnings like this

Total earnings at company 1 (Subtotal 1)

Jan 2008- April 2008 (as Payslips)

01-May-2008 to 16-May 2008 (Final Settlement bill)

Total earnings at company 2 (Subtotal 2)

26-May-2008 - 31-May-2008 - (payslip for 5 days)
June 2008-December 2008 (as payslips)

Grand total = subtotal 1 + Subtotal 2

Hope this clears up everything

Thanks

Raghava,

I didn't see that guidance note earlier. Now I am cleared.
Thank you very much.
