Dear Team,
Any idea when we have the upcoming Ceremony, today I just received the online payment letter via post.
Any idea of the upcoming dates.
Thanks
Does your letter state how early you have to pay the fees or something along those lines? Mine said if you wish to be considered in the upcoming ceremony then I need to pay the fees within 28 days.
I've just got mine today. The letter is dated 26 April and they have given me 10 days for me to pay if I wish to be considered in the upcoming ceremony.

This is good. If you do it quickly and also make sure to follow up after 2 weeks via email to check on when the payment will be processed. Once you have paid the fees and drop them an email after 2 weeks, they do get back and actually process the fees. I hope we get some news about the upcoming citizenship ceremony in the coming weeks.

I think it’s disgraceful how 2021 and 2022 applicants are just left stranded. E-vetting done since last year and nothing still.

This topic is about upcoming ceremony invitations. And I see its been hijacked to discuss usual citizensip application delay topics.

Got my letter of approval last week asking me to submit my IRP copies and travel document within 10 days to be included in ceremony. So hopefully June 2024 ?. It's been stressful 2 years for me .I hope you all get sorted
As above, no-one knows until they are published on the govt website. Some people’s approvals are coming with a 10 day payment timeline which usually indicates a ceremony is about a month to 6 weeks away.

Would invitations usually come by post or email? Also, would invitations start being sent straight away, or is there a couple of days wait before they start sending invites?

Am trying to contain my excitement because I was so disappointed last time.
Presumably they’ll send invitations in at least 2 batches. But who knows? I really should stop speculating.

Part from official mailout for applicants awaiting decision
2024 Ceremony schedule
We recognise the importance of giving applicants more opportunities to attend Citizenship Ceremonies to complete their naturalisation. In June this year. for the first time ever. we will be holding ceremonies in both Dublin and Kerry.
This will give ceremonies. Unfortunately we are not in a position to be able to give applicants a choice of venue.
The dates for these ceremonies are below. Invites will begin to issue in the coming weeks.
Killarney Dates: 10th and 11th June 2024
Dublin Dates: 20th and 21st June 2024
It is our intention to hold additional ceremonies in September and December of this year also. Once venues and dates are confirmed we will include them on the website.

Are you still awaiting a decision, Emma?
Someone just asked whether the invitations will be issued by email. Am assuming they will, as that’s what happened last time.
I hope they send them soon. The suspense is killing me!

They will be sent by email and it's quite obvious so it's difficult to miss. That said, mine came in just under 2 weeks from the actual ceremony date. So unless they have figured out a way to become more efficient since February, I wouldn't expect much more than a couple weeks notice.
It then took just over 10 weeks to receive my naturalisation certificate and they give you little information about when that will arrive other than "in the coming weeks."
I would highly recommend taking a picture of the signed oath declaration at the ceremony as you leave with no proof you actually attended the ceremony.

That's a very useful tip, Sairsint. Thanks.
