Are you still awaiting a decision, Emma?

Someone just asked whether the invitations will be issued by email. Am assuming they will, as that’s what happened last time.

I hope they send them soon. The suspense is killing me!
I got my approval letter and paid the fee. I didn't get this message myself which is a bit strange as it is explain about ceremonies. My friend applied end of last year, she got this message dated 14-05-2024.

I think they only send those update emails to people who have not yet had an approval...

They will be sent by email and it's quite obvious so it's difficult to miss. That said, mine came in just under 2 weeks from the actual ceremony date. So unless they have figured out a way to become more efficient since February, I wouldn't expect much more than a couple weeks notice.

It then took just over 10 weeks to receive my naturalisation certificate and they give you little information about when that will arrive other than "in the coming weeks."

I would highly recommend taking a picture of the signed oath declaration at the ceremony as you leave with no proof you actually attended the ceremony.
Are we even allowed or will they stop us from taking picture of it?

Why would they? I asked lady at the desk if I could do it, she signed it and said sure. I still have a snap of it somewhere.

They won't stop you.

I even told them I wanted it because this picture will be the only proof I'll have that I attended the ceremony. She signed it and as a nice gesture, placed the Irish flag pin they give to you on the paper before I took the picture.

Now I’m intrigued. What are we talking here? Little green leprechauns leaping from the inbox? Riverdance ringtones?

I thought the same until I was told by my friend he got the mail. He's approved and payment processed. So am not sure why I didn't get the update email

So going by none of us have got the update email thing, they might have taken us off the list and we should be getting invite for ceremony in Killarney next week I guess.

Congratulations to everyone who received an invitation for Killarney! Could you also let us know if you are based in Dublin or elsewhere?

The latest update email mentioned that there will be no option to choose your attendance location. However, I'm curious if people living in Dublin and the surrounding areas will be invited to the Dublin ceremonies.

Thanks!

HI,
I've received my invite for a ceremony in Killarney in June and I'm not going to be able to make it as we're on holidays. We're also still away for the later June ones in Dublin. If I decline this am I likely to be invited to the Dublin June one and have to decline that too? Is there a limit on declining e.g. if I had to decline 2 in a row would I be black listed??
Thanks

congratulations to everyone who got their invitation today 🎉 delighted for you all 🙌🏻

I'm one of the group of people who received the update email but no approval or invitation yet , I guess they are focusing now on Killarney ceremonies and then they will start sending more approval and invitations for the Dublin ones.

Leo, my husband got his invitation so you’re off the hook!

Now. Does anyone have any idea how long the ceremony takes?
Ours is at 3 pm.
And we absolutely must get the train back to Dublin that same night.
There’s one leaves Killarney at 17.41. Is that too tight?

On reflection, I think it is a bit tight. Apparently the ceremony takes a couple of hours.
