Sv2018 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 1:46 amHello,
I am preparing for the naturalisation application, few questions on referree.
1) For adult naturalisation application, Can a person working as an IT professional as Associate director working in a reputed bank be accepted as a referee? Are they chartered with a professional body?
2) For child registration as a British Citizen, is there a strict requirement that referee for the child should know child for at least 3 years?
The child had moved school so know the head teacher for 2 years and 8 months.3) When returning to the UK from a short holiday, if the stamp is missing what other documents can be provided to proof residence?that sounds reasonable though be aware that teachers often decline being a referee.I look forward to hearing from the members who faced similar situation.letters from the government, eg DVLA, HMRC, P60s, or a letter from your employer.
Thanks
Thank you.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 4:55 pmP60s and council tax bills are used frequently. Only one type of document is sufficient, or if you have gaps a mix will normally do.
Sv2018 wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 3:02 pmThank you @contorted_svy
A quick question, can the document (eg the employer letter) be dated after the application submission but before biometric date? Best if dated before application date if at all possible
What other evidence is acceptable in lieu of stamping other than the employer letter? P60s and government letters (eg NHS, DVLA, DWP...) Council tax bills have been suggested but it seems they are not accepted. Other thing you can do is request a SAR as that would be Home office records which are accepted.
Thank you.
