Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

I sent citizenship an email today and have been advised that invitation to the upcoming ceremonies continue to issue. My patience on this matter is appreciated.

Hi. Do you think that they have even sent out all the invitations for Killarney yet? I have only seen people mentioning 10th June here. Has anyone been invited to a ceremony on the 11th?

I am honestly confused because I am a Feb 2022 applicant who paid the fees in early February and has yet to receive an invitation, whereas the post above had the approval completed last month and an invitation has already been sent. It is incredibly frustrating that they do not follow chronological order at all.

not sure though but I think they have not started sending invitations for Dublin ceremonies yet .

Based on previous ceremonies which happened across two days:
Killarney : accommodated 4000 applicants
Dublin: accommodated 6000 Applicants

They mentioned in the last update they will invite 10 000 applicants across 12 ceremonies ، so there are still 6000 yet to receive invitations.

yes I did send them an email and they just replied with the same sentence "Your application for naturalisation continues to be process.."

There 4000 applications applied in 2022 and before still didn't receive their approval. I applied at the beginning of 2022 and still no news from approval... there is no logic behind of this....

That's so frustrating. I think they are keeping the older files for Dublin ceremonies

I applied in 2021 and only got approval in March 2024...
I even had to go to solicitor for them to process my application a bit faster... but then some people were getting approved within months of applying... I don't get it how the system works tbh..

I just got back from my IRP renewal appointment , new card will be posted 2-3 weeks. So now I'm waiting for 3 things at the same time ( new IRP card, approval , invitation) . It will be a miracle if I got them all before June ceremonies

The number you will write on the declaration paperwork is the application number, which is the the one formatted like this: #######-CITZ-##

Fred I applied in February 2022, received an approval letter, paid the fees, and am now waiting. I believe it is extremely unfair in your case that the application has not moved forward despite the fact that all necessary checks have been completed. This, I believe, is directly related to the team in charge of our applications. People applied in October last year, received approval at the end of April, and have already been invited to the ceremony. I don't care how the split works in terms of assigning people to Killarney or Dublin. They should have invited people who, like you and me, have been waiting for over two years on the first day. So frustrated. To be honest, my frustration grows as I see everyone else receiving invitations while I do not.

I applied through the solicitor and then had to request a litigation letter to be sent, and they eventually got back to me with some explanation that was above my head, and then two weeks later an approval letter stating that I should pay the fees quickly to be considered for the February ceremony, but that did not happen, and I am still waiting for an invitation. Nobody would ever know how their system works!!!

Just want to get done with this process now!!!!!!!!

I and my missus applied together. While I’ve been invited to the ceremony on June 11, missus is still waiting for the approval and payment of the fee. We were hoping to complete this entire process together but now seriously, not sure how they’re prioritising the applications…

Nope, people have received invitations for the Killarney ceremonies, but I'm not sure if the cut off period is still one week before the ceremony; if that's the case, the chances of anyone else being invited for Killarney next week are slim; however, the Dublin ceremony still has two weeks to go, so I'm hopeful that I'll be invited, and they said in the email that they'll be able to naturalise 10,000 people in these 12 ceremonies, so I believe we should all be included.

Okay, so I came across the following, which sheds light on how they manage the invitations. It appears that they are inviting people from the southern part to the Killarney ceremonies, and then including the Dublin ones in the CCD ceremonies.

"I am informed that efforts have been made to accommodate applicants from the southern region at the Killarney events and others at the Dublin ceremonies. The location of ceremonies is an important point. I appreciate there are costs and time involved in travelling to ceremonies."

I am based in Dublin as my address is in Dublin for citizenship application and i received the 950 eur fee letter also at this address. i have still not received any ceremony invite yet.
My friend who lives in Waterford, already got his ceremony invitation in May 2024.

If anyone of you has dublin address and have received any ceremony invite for Dublin ceremony, please mention here the timeline. OR if anyone of you has dublin address and they got invite for Killarney ceremony, please share as well.

And do you know approximately, what date will i expect to receive the ceremony invite for Dublin CCD ceremony? Will i be invited at all or not? I received the 950 eur fee instruction letter on 26 Apr 2024.

Also, do they send the naturalization certificate by registered post to my address? My home door bell does not work, so if nobody is there to receive or sign the registered post, then what will they do with my naturalization certificate?

Does the post man must need a signature when delivering of recipient, what if nobody is at home, what will they do with my naturalization certificate? can we request them to drop the certificate in my home without need of my signature? because my door bell is not working and what if nobody is at home to receive it?

We just can't know that.

Yep.

That very much depends on your postman.

Officially they're supposed to return it to their storage, keep it for 3(!) days and if you didn't collect it by that time, return to ISD. Mine just showed it into my post box, though.
I'd advise you to make friends with your postman.

No. It won't exist by then. They're all printed after the ceremony.

If you're a citizen, you don't need (and can't) renew an IRP.

I tried to contact them through the phone, but the phone wasn't working. What should I do in this case?
