Hi Harakiri,
Have you contacted BDHC Mumbai in the above phone number. I called up and they gave me another helpline number. Which I tried so many times but not able to contact successfully.
Can you please update your telephonic coversation if you can?
Thanks

The number the IVR states for visa enquiries is 66502181. I tried to call using this number several times, but no luck. For once or twice it was simply ringing and no one was picking up the phone.
I think they are not in a mood to attend any visa enquiries.

Hi All,
I have received following reply from the BDHC, Mumbai today. I applied on November 21, 2008
Regards,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir
This is with regards to your email below.
Your application for a UK visa is under process and a decision will be made shortly.
Please note each application takes a minimum of 4 working days to be processed however each application is dealt with on its own merits therefore certain applications take longer for a decision to be made than others.
Yours faithfully

I got my passport today with EC stamped !
Timelines -
11-Dec - Submitted at VFS Bangalore
06-Jan - Mailed BHC Chennai and got reply "A decision has been taken on your application and your passport will be despatched in 3-4 working days"
07-Jan - Status change on VFS site - "Processed application has been handed over to bluedart"
