Immigration Officer - Assessment Centre.

Post by Quality Street » Sun Jan 04, 2009 3:19 pm

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if this is the right place.

I would like to become a UK Immigration Officer.

I have looked and there, now, is no formal qualifications to join. According to careers direct and a the UKBAA website.

What I would like to know is:
Is there an assessment centre?
How hard is it?
And for the vetting, do they check family back ground. I.e. a half-brothers record for assault etc?

Cheers.

Just looking at it and it says you need C or above in English. However, careers direct says, "What qualifications and experience will employers look for?

You may not need any formal academic qualifications, however, most employers will expect you to be educated to A level standard."
