Skilled Work Visa status in case of company aquisition

Post by mehtass » Tue Jun 18, 2024 4:12 pm

Hello,

I'm on skilled worker visa and a portion of my company's business is now acquired by another company from EU. The new company doesn't have the Sponsor license.

Can someone please help with the below queries ?
1. How much time do i have for a new Visa application to be initiated?
2. New company hasn't filed for a sponsor license yet (more than 30 days since the acquisiton). Is there a time limit under which they have to file it?

Your are employment has been transferred but CoS was with your previous company. CoS is not with your present employer. They have to do it asap.

C4. Mergers, takeovers and similar changes
What this means for you (the sponsor)

C4.13. If you:
  • do not make a valid application within 20 working days; or
  • do make a valid application, but that application is refused
all of the workers who moved to you, except any who can be sponsored under your existing licence if you have one, will have their permission cancelled.
