years of residency combination correct?

Post by pliku » Wed Jun 19, 2024 11:16 pm

hi guys
I am EU citizen , wil apply for naturalisation on the beginning of December
plan is to show/proof 150 points in residency category from
November2017 -nov2018
nov2020-nov2021
nov2021-nov2022
nov2022-nov 2023
nov2023-nov2024

will this work?, or I have to proof whole calendar years, for example whole 2020, whole2021 etc?

You are definitely overthinking the process, based on our conversation at viewtopic.php?f=34&t=348093, and that you have now created a new topic. Basically, you need to have been resident in the Republic of Ireland for 5 years prior to your Citizenship application. The 'numbering' of years is individual to each person based on your first arrival stamp (as applicable) on your passport. The calendar years do not count, only your days of residency per the calculator I already shared with you: it doesn't matter what anyone tells you on this site, only the Immigration Service calculator will count.

You need to demonstrate that you have been resident in Ireland for the required period using 2 documents that meet the 150 points requirements, following the link I provided. The Employment Detail Summary (or P60 pre-2019) is issued for a calendar year, however a document like a rent agreement can be signed at any time of the year.
