Child Benefit while on pre-settled status (EU scheme)

Hi Everyone,

If a person on a pre-settlement visa, dependent on a EU National, had a baby, but the baby is not an EU national and didn’t apply for a visa, is such person entitled for child benefit? Or should the person apply for a visa for the baby first? or maybe she is not entitled at all?

The child should obtain status under the EUSS but it isn’t a requirement to get child benefit (that’s based on parent’s status).
