This is crazy. There is one to two a day on this subject.Salina wrote:Hello Guys,
I got tier-1 visa till 2011.
Due to job losses in uk, i am thinking of working in india for a certain time (about 6 to 12 months).
So due to that continuous absence of time in uk, does it affect my visa or citizenship.
kind regards

No for work/tier1 permits, you will have to show economic activity for 5 years with the current proof of bank statements so again stop trying to be funny. Go check the form instead of trying to promote bad info for your cause. So answer the questino. what income are you going to show when you are away?push_hsmp wrote:You are supposed to have spent 5 years in UK before you are ranted an ILR. Although you do not have to show salary slips etc. for the entire 5 year period, HO has complete information on your movements - entry/exits through your immigration records (scanned and recorded at ports of entry/exit).
So any prolonged absence will not only affect your citizenship (which will come later) but the grant of ILR itself.
Kan't we giv the excuse of market recession or personal problem during the absence time.republique wrote:No for work/tier1 permits, you will have to show economic activity for 5 years with the current proof of bank statements so again stop trying to be funny. that would defeat the purpose of the visaSalina wrote:Kan't we giv the excuse of market recession or personal problem during the absence time.republique wrote:No for work/tier1 permits, you will have to show economic activity for 5 years with the current proof of bank statements so again stop trying to be funny. If we kan how much is the success rate of getting the ILR.
I think most of them are in the same boat due to job losses.
I think u will b under option 1 or option 2.Salina wrote:If we didnt met the criteria of being in uk physically for the continuous 5 years (missed about 12 to 24 months in 5 years)
options:
1) Ur visa has been extended for another 2 to 3 years n than apply for ILR
2) u failed to fulfill the creteria of tier-1 go bak to ur home country
3) ILR granted bcs ur excuses has been accepted
Ur open and authentic views are welcomed.
