eVisa introduction and new application

Post by smallichai » Tue Jul 02, 2024 10:18 am

Hi,

With introduction of eVisa already and having been invited to create an account. What is the process for applications that will be submitted now. I might switch employers and apply for a transfer of Skilled worker visa.

Will be issued BRP ? Or will it be digital ?

Thanks.

The application process for a Skilled worker visa and any other visa type remains the same, there is no change on these procedures.

The physical BRP cards are being replaced by eVisas, and will be all digital after 31-12-2024.

Receiving a BRP card or an eVisa will depend on when you switch employers. Applicants getting their leaves approved these days are still receiving BRP cards with 31-12-2024 as expiry date.

You don't transfer a SW visa when changing employers, you apply for a new visa with the new employer.
