IHS Charge payment (Help)

Post by samkma » Tue Jul 02, 2024 11:35 am

A friend is struggling with making the IHS charge payment in INR as the total is INR569114 for 5 years and all debit cards (Indian Banks) tried are declining the payment due to payment limits or card being not accepted.
Any options, please?
There is no option to pay the full in part payments as well.

Have you got the cash in £? Can you use a Monzo/Curve/Revolut/Starling opened in the UK to make the payment? I remember I used a Curve card, that seems to be fine for the payment in PKR so I suspect INR shouldn't be an issue. It's also pretty fast to open an account like Starling/Monzo so you can open an account quickly if you don't have one.

Your option is to ask him to transfer the money to you, and you help him pay with your card. There might be restrictions on his foreign bank account. No one here can help with that.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
