IHS Payment (switching Dependent > Skilled Worker; same period)

Post by pinaki » Thu Jul 04, 2024 12:43 pm

Hello,

Do applicants have to pay the IHS again when switching from a Dependent visa to a T2 Skilled Worker visa (with his/her own sponsor) for the previously paid period (using their own funds)?

If yes, can they claim a refund later, at least?

Thanks!

Yes, any application implies paying all the associated fees including IHS.

A refund might be given pro-rata of the time remaining in the previous leave. If eligible this refund is automatic to the original form of payment, no need to be claimed.

Thanks... but what are the eligibility criteria? If you can direct me to any published document? We would prefer to switch only if we know that the IHS paid will be adjusted/refunded. TIA.

IHS refunds
Thank you again. I read the page, but I might be overthinking and confusing myself.
