How long do you think they will take to process the application?
The reason I'm asking is because i applied on 16th of july 2023 and sent the biometrics on 30th july 2023 and i have nearly reached the 1 year mark.

It is impossible to know. It can take as long as they like as we have repeatedly said in the thread, the standard processing time is 6 months but some applications can take much longer, plus you applied from abroad and had to submit further evidence which are both factors that delay the process. Suggest to submit a complaint if you haven't already and start following up on that one as well.

Did you request a SAR, and followed up with the relevant MP?

Yes, they can take as long as they want. You need to keep chasing and wait for a review to your complaint.

Did you submit a SAR? MPs generally only get boilerplate replies.

There is no way to speed up the application, not even involving a solicitor - you can only follow up according to the guide in this thread viewtopic.php?f=42&t=343483 Have you received a response to your complaint?

Receive an email from royal mail stating that a parcel has been sent to me from Langley HwDC.
Does the home office send mn1 certificates from London ?
Ukvi liverpool is currently working on my sons papers.

We don't know if this parcel is from UKVI, or where they post certificates from. Can only wait until you receive it.

Langley HwDC is handling international incoming and outgoing mail only.

Thats correct.
It was sent from Warrington to langley to abroad.
Ukvi hasn't sent me a letter of rejection or approval.
I don't think they can just cancel and return my documents back to me without any notification of whether or not they need futher documents or whether its not enough or simply its been rejected.

Warrington is a regional mail centre just outside Liverpool - so should be from UKVI (documents and certificate?).
It often happens here in the UK, there's often no approval email, certificate arrives. In any case if it's the cert. then you don't need an approval email.

Try and wait for the parcel to arrive - then deal with whatever the outcome is. Hopefully it gets delivered to you quickly.
