There is no specific requirement under the rules and never has been. GOV.UK often does not provide exact/accurate information as per the rules !!SKJ1984 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 11:36 amH Zimba,
ILR for dependent states.

You must both:
have enough income to support yourselves and your dependants
not be using public funds
Any idea what constitutes as enough income? I don't think ILR would be granted when both are unemployed.
As I said, naturalisation is for adults. Children will get registered when they qualify and their qualification depends on their parents.SKJ1984 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 2:48 pmThanks Zimba.
My kids are not UK born. I will get them ILR in Dec. But in standard route and they might get it 3 months later due to standard route SLA.
As you said when my wife applies for naturalisation around next August 25 the kids can apply for passport too without waiting for 12 months after ILR.
12 months waiting for naturalisation is applicable only for adult dependent.
Am I right in saying this.
The rules for dependant ILR and main applicants are NOT the same !!!!!
It just needs to be valid on the date of application.
