Applying Dependents - Post Tier 1 Approval of Main Applicant

Post by Asif786 » Fri Dec 26, 2008 5:44 am

Maybe we could start a thread on the above criteria as there are many who have been applying post the approval of Tier - 1 of main Applicant.

I think RAMGSK is one such succesfull applicant.

Tks.

Hi Asif786
I am planning to apply on 29/12 for my wife ... I still have some doubts regarding the VAF10 form which we fill for Dependant

I have few questions related to Main applicant in the VAF 10 Form.(Page No:5 Part 7)
For the questions from 7.13 to 7.19

1. The main doubt is : Since i have applied from India , I will not be having an employment in UK and i will not know the details related to the employment in UK. Can i simply say , NA (Not Applicable) for these questions.. Iam typing those questions . please suggest me a suitable reply. I know i dont have answers for these questions, still i would like the Forum members to guide me.

1. If the main applicant is living in UK , what permission do they have to stay there?
2. What job or employment is the main applicant doing in the UK?
3. What is the main applicant's Certificate of Sponsorship number?
4. Address of the company including the postal code?
5. Telephone number of the company including area code?
6. When did/will the main applicant's job begin?
7. When is the job expected to finish?

Can you answer the above questions?

Thanks

Quite relevant questions. Maybe you could refer these post.

http://www.immigrationboards.com/search ... hor=ramgsk

I have also (img) him. Maybe he could answer.

I personally would NA to the queries. Main Applicant in India. I read this somewhere in this forum. Maybe it Abdul has highlighted. Try doing some search with the search option.

2. What job or employment is the main applicant doing in the UK?
3. What is the main applicant's Certificate of Sponsorship number?
4. Address of the company including the postal code?

6. When did/will the main applicant's job begin?
7. When is the job expected to finish?

Hi
As I understood you are applying for your dependant. I would like to know what is the maintenance that you are showing? is it only 1600 or 2800+1600 pounds?

Thanks

I am exactly in the same situation. Thanks for guidance.
Please advise, what else apart from VAF10 & Maintenace Fund you are going to supply? Could you please provide a kind of shortlist of docs? I know there are available on website, but I am a little bit confused.
Cheers

Thanks very much, very useful information.
Just one question about Accomodation proof for both of you. What accomodation are they talking about, the one that u r living in your country or the one that you are going to (lets say) rent in UK?

48K for Dependant

Post by letmec2006 » Tue Jan 06, 2009 9:55 am

It is absolutely ridiculous, that when dependants apply separate have to pay 48000 Rs. They are not doing any points calculation, they just check documents like workpermit/ HSMP dependant or any other dependant like PSW visas.
I cant get my head around why we are paying 48K, BHC gaining quiet a lot out of us during the economic downturn.

Hi All,

I am applying as a dependant of my husband sometime next week, not yet confirmed an appointment but i have put the same papers as above. My husband is showing maintenance funds in his account for me.

Do you have any idea on processing times as it took him 2months but i would like to join him asap. he is currently in london desperately looking for a job. the job market there is real bad, i hope him not having a job doesnt affect my application. he went to uk in december an from 15th december most of the people were on holiday so no jobs.

can anybody advise.

cheers

Hi,
Well, out of action for sometime.
Had to come back now.

Have a Tier1 (Genera) visa
My wife has a dependant visa now
Planning to go singly to UK in the mid of Feb, and then would ask my wife to apply visa for my kid here in India, later they would be joining me in UK.
Already starting looking at the threads related to maintenance funds in the forum for my kid

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 468#219468
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 464#219464

Otherwise, though this thread is useful, how can we make it not to get buried down through the threads that gets in everyday. Ooph! do we really need to ask the administrator to make it sticky, I doubt not, there are enough stickies out there in the forum, that the first page itself is almost occupied by stickies, normal threads only come in the next page :-)

I have a Tier 1 general visa, I had clearly mentioned during my application that I would be applying for my wife's dependent visa post my visa approval and had provided my marriage certificate but on my visa it is mentioned
No. of dependents: 0
Is this the general case in the above given situation or is it going to create problem when I apply for my wife's visa.

just found these useful thread on timescale for dependent application. good to know some only takes about 2 weeks to be approved. i thought it would have taken as long as 14 weeks like the main applicant.

Covering Letter- Dependent Visa

Post by mohit_2881 » Wed Feb 25, 2009 2:42 pm

I would appreciate if anyone can advice covering letter format to be used for dependent visa and whether it should be addressed from mail applicant or dependent.
