What exactly do you mean by self sponsorship?

There is no such category for skilled worker visa. You must have a licensed sponsoring employer.

There is no such category. What you actually mean is create a UK company which obtains a Skilled Worker sponsor licence and then be assigned a valid Certificate of Sponsorship to in turn sponsor yourself. That would mean 1. establishing a UK company 2. applying for a Skilled Worker sponsor licence 3. Getting a valid Certificate of Sponsorship and then 4. applying for a Skilled Worker visa. The Home Office would likely have issues about the genuineness and credibility of doing this. Not to mention the costs.

Agree with Amber.

If you Google:
self sponsorship skilled worker visa
You will find:
It’s not a category of the visa but a route or strategy which allows business owners and entrepreneurs to run their businesses in the UK.
Etc.
