Is the right to work extended while an ILR application is pending?

Post by supgog » Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:13 am

My spouse has a tier-2 dependent visa with the right to work until Jan 26.

On Dec 25, we'll apply for an ILR.

Since the ILR processing time can take longer than a month, the application may not be approved when the current right to work expires.

My understanding is that while the ILR application is pending, one can stay in the UK without a new visa. What about the right to work?

Applicants retain all the rights they have till a decision is made on their submitted in-time application.
