needs help plz

hello
i applied for PSW on 3rd november,but i have not received anything yet,i called HO they said its under further consideration (i do not know what it means) my concern is my passport expiring on 25th january 2009 and as i havent heard anything from them yet i dont know what should i do,do i need to fax them and remind them or is it possible for them to keep expired passport,any suggestion or help will be appreciated.

What was ur college/uni - a lot of dodgy ones rewarding their 'students' with refusals and 'under consideration' is considered her by some as a euphemism for that.

Please bear in mind that the way Christmas has fallen this year means that lots of people have been out of the office until this Monday. There is always a delay with UKBA at Christmas time, and Easter, and autumn student rush, and summer holidays!

u applied for psw in nov 2008 for 2 years psw work visa but ur passport will expire in jan 2009. Do u think they will give u visa on expired passport. I dont understand....

U should provide them atleast 2 years validity passport to get 2 years visa. Now the option is applied a new passport. Home Office may ask u for that.

In fact, the two p's and one p's came out slightly before - we used to go to the shop just get them in our change...

U should provide them atleast 2 years validity passport to get 2 years visa. Now the option is applied a new passport. Home Office may ask u for that.

This is rubbish. My gf's passport expired 30th Dec 2008, PSW visa issued Nov 2008.

I must say the atmos in the PSW forum is very hostile, as it is on the same forum on another board, and everyone in them seems very uneducated for 'students'

Any for the record my gf is the one with the visas, student and now PSW, I'm British, I don't need a visa.

Anyway, carry on squabbling...

Having a good command of written english doesn't make you 'educated'. And not everyone on this forum attends ccl, bites and the whole scam institutions. When you give advice, try not to be hostile and like the other poster asked, what are you really doing on here because I have not really seen you offer any meaningful advice?

If the 'advice' you profer here and the rude comments you make is a reflection of your educational status them am sure glad I am more educated. An educated individual doesn't make harsh comments just to portray their disgust at individuals, but they are tactical. Forums are for support and there are better ways to do that than by being cocky more than half the time!

No need to ask for your passport back, your visa will be issued cos I did have a friend who had his visa issued with the same circumstances as the one you in. Keep your fingers crossed. Good Luck.
