If you include certified copies of your birth, marriage and divorce documents it should be perfectly fine.paulinam07 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 12:24 pmHi,
I need some advice please.
I am here for 6 years and entitled to apply for citizenship (EU country).
I came here married (with a different name) but divorced 2 years ago and got my maiden name back.
All my documents (passport , driving licence and contracts) are now on my new name.
I attached to the document section my divorce sentence translated by authorised authority, but my biggest worry is that my papers up to 2022 were on a different name.
Also the passport I initially entered the country was on my ex husband family name. I only uploaded a picture with my old passport as I don't have it anymore.
Was anyone dealing with same situation?
Any advice please?
Yes all identity documents need to be submitted as certified copies, so department knows someone official has personally seen the original.paulinam07 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 1:42 pmThank you very much for your reply.
I have uploaded birth certificate but it is not certified, it is just a scan of my original document.
Does it definitely need to be certified?
My portal is still open one more week when I have my biometric appointment.
Naturalisation isn't an immigration application.paulinam07 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 10:09 amHello,
I applied for UK citizenship on 26th June and Biometrics on 23rd July.
I tried to connect to my UKVI to see my application but when I click on ''see my current application'' it's blank. When I click on ''see my old application'' it's visible ....does this mean they started to check my application?
Sorry for this silly question.
Thanks a lot.

When you say "my old application" you mean EUSS? Which is immigration.
I wouldn't expect to see naturalisation on your UKVI account.
I understood. Thank youalterhase58 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 11:31 amOK - I'm aware of the process.
As to your question you posed, no it's not an indication that UKVI have started checking/processing your application.
