Salary discrepancy vs bank statement

The occupational code I was sponsored using (2429: BUSINESS, RESEARCH AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS N.E.C.) no longer exists, I was sponsored back in 2019.

I am currently doing an Indefinite leave to remain application (skilled worker or tier 2) and it is asking for a SOC code along with my salary details. Should I use the SOC code that I was originally sponsored under (even though it doesn't exist anymore), or do I need to find a new one?

Or perhaps a better question would be - would anyone know what the new SOC code for 2429 is?

The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes assigned to each role have been simply updated from the 2010 codes to the 2020 codes, so your old SOC and the new 2020 SOC both effectively refer to the same role. Old codes are no longer used and you should find the matching new code and satisfy the salary as per the new code. You can ask your sponsor to help you with this.

The Sub-major group 24 has not changed between SOC 2010 and SOC 2020: https://www.ons.gov.uk/methodology/clas ... unitgroups
So the closest SOC 2020 I can see that matches the old SOC 2429 seems to be 2439

Hi there,

At work this month I was given a pay increase, I received the first salary payment with this increase on the 24th. I put this increased salary on my ILR application. Unfortunately I am only able to get a bank statement for July which has my old salary. Although both do meet the salary requirement (62.5k to 67.5k).

Do you think it would be ok if when I upload my documents I include the bank statement/payslip for July and an explanation explaining why there is a difference? I could also include my August payslip.

Would anyone foresee any issues with this?

You cannot submit evidence that is older than 28 days on the date you submit and pay online.

If you haven't already submitted and paid, why not just wait for rhe August pay to land in your bank and get a statement.

I applied on the 24th, went to metrobank that day and they wouldn’t give me a bank statement up to that date. Only one for July so within 28 days (I didn’t think getting the bank statement would be an issue).

The reason why I am not waiting is due to needing the decision to be made by a certain date, have paid for priority.

So that is the reason.

That shouldn't be an issue.

Submit all the evidence you have by the date of the application. UKVI know that salaries can be paid monthly and payday can be just after submission.
