EUTR application for an asylum seeker

Post by Christophjoe » Thu Aug 08, 2024 9:57 am

Hi

I hope you’re all doing well.

Almost 2 years in Ireland i am in asylum process and was granted permission to work, I get married with a Spanish national in Ireland January 2024. We have been together since September 2022. I arrived in August 2022. Asylum process did not make a final decision yet for my application.

My wife she works for an IT big firm, since the company is an international big firm she could not get the last pages of EUTR 1 stamped but was signed by her manager and all the details required.

my questions are:

I am an asylum seeker with permission to work, Is that will be an issue for applying since I believe I entered the country illegally?
last page of the EUTR is not stamped since she work for a big company where they really have no stamps as her manager claims, will that be an issues?
Is a cover letter explaining what her manager said will be effective?

We live together and we have tenancy agreement but RTB i do not think so ?

I still did not apply yet I was just planning to do things right, anyone can give me more guidance please.

Anyone has similar or experience

Thank you

Hi,

Answers to your questions;

1. You are eligible to apply even if you are illegal with no asylum application in process. Immediate family members of Union citizens have rights to residency so far as the EU citizen is working or have sufficient funds.

2. Manager/HR signature is sufficient for employer declaration column if all necessary details have been filled.

3. Tenancy agreement is sufficient. Just add utility bills (garbage collection invoice or electricity bill)

Thank you Angel99,

I would like to clarify for utility bills:
Landlord have given me a letter that we both pay for the rent, is that enough ?
For electricity we pay the landlord as it’s included in the rent.
For garbage collection we don’t have that since we live in apartments complex.
She has a phone bill but I’m not included.
If I get mine by buying a new subscription from an operator will that be enough or it must have both of our name on it as they ask?

The only thing remaining for my application I believe is the utility bills both of our name on it.

Thanks again

Including the letter your landlord gave, just ask the landlord to write a note on top of a copy of most recent electricity bill that you and your spouse reside there.

Or ask the garbage payer to provide that on the garbage collection bill.

Mobile phone bills are not accepted unless home fixed phones/Internet.

****However you can provide only what the landlord gave you but it's possible later they will ask for utility bill when they send you acknowledgement letter with temporary stamp 4 registration letter.

If your spouse is in employment you don't need to provide medical insurance. Documents needed for registration (EU spouses).

*Marriage certificate
*Your travel document
*Your EU spouse I.D or passport
*Permission letter for registration
*Proof of address

**Your EU spouse has to be present
