Skilled Worker Visa - Change of Employment Timeline & Concerns

Hi,

I recently applied for a Skilled Worker Visa to change my employment and I'm seeking advice on the processing timeline.

Timeline of Events:

22nd August: Biometric verification completed via the ID Check App
23rd August: Application submitted using the priority service
26th August: Bank holiday in the UK
27th August: First working day post-submission
28th August: Second working day
29th August: Third working day
30th August: Fourth working day
2nd September: Fifth working day (today)
It's now the 5th working day since my application, and I haven’t received any updates from UKVI. Given the fast-track service, I'm starting to feel concerned, especially after hearing about others' experiences. Some of my friends who applied for visa renewals around the same time received their decisions within 1-2 days using the priority service.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Did you receive your decision on the final promised day? If I don’t hear anything by today, what steps should I take next?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Priority service is not a guarantee unfortunately. My friend applied using PS and despite his CoS from govt department, it took 35 days to get visa approval notification.
