No updates. I sent 3 emails but no reply.

I'm in the same boat waiting for my son's certificate. Last time I heard from them was June 2nd about payment processed and certificate "will be sent". No replies via support email either. Looks like they are deprioritizing minors and focusing on adult certificates for now

Same in my child's case. We got an email on 3rd June stating that the citizenship certificates will be issued after 4 weeks. No further information or communication after this..

I have received the certificate already but my employer said they must need the Irish passport to confirm my eligibility to work legally in Ireland, is it illegal to do so?

The certificate can already prove that I am legally eligible to work in Ireland.

My IRP will be expired after 25th Oct 2024, so if I don't receive the passport from then I will be fired.

The cert is proof of your citizenship, but employees can choose to only accept the passport, AFAIK. You could well have the passport by 25 Oct if you have applied already with fully compliant documents. Surely your employer wouldn’t fire you if you can show them the status tracker of your passport? There’s a bigger problem for you than passport if your employee would sack you for that, as that would just be an excuse they are looking for rather than a real reason. In the end, if push came to shove, I think they’d struggle to defend sacking you for having a naturalisation cert but not yet a passport.

I just got the certificate for my kid's naturalization after paying the fee and having received the email (saying certificate will be issues in 4 weeks) on Jun 11!

So to all the people who posted about their children hopefully you should hear back soon. Based on the trends on this forum it looks like they are working in batches and maybe they've come back to looking at children's cases and sending out certificates.

Just got my child's citizenship certificate by post. It took exactly 1 year from posting the documents to getting the certificate
