ILR for baby born in the UK

Post by drsiddharth » Wed Sep 25, 2024 10:27 pm

Hello everyone,
I have 1 basic question.
Me and my wife are eligible for ILR in Feb 2025.
We recently had a baby born in July 2024 and I have applied and received UK Dependent BRP and Indian Passport for the baby as we are planning to travel to India in December.
In Feb when I am applying do I have to apply for ILR for baby as well or just me and my wife?
Thanks in advance

A child can register directly as British without ILR. If you do not want that, the child can settle with parents
